What We Value
At NCC, our values are more than words on a page, they’re the culture we live out every day.
These values remind us who we are, how we treat each other and what kind of church we are becoming.

Do the Right Things for the Right Reasons
We live with integrity because we believe God cares about not just what we do, but why we do it. Our motives matter as much as our actions, and following Jesus means choosing the right path even when no one else sees.
“People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives.”
- Proverbs 16:2 (NLT)

Value All People
Every person matters to God, so every person matters to us. We honor people not for what they can give us, but because they are made in God’s image and worth Christ’s sacrifice.
“For God does not show favoritism.”
- Romans 2:11 (NLT)

Bring People Together in a World That Divides
In a culture filled with division, we choose unity. The Church is a family where walls come down, grace is extended, and Jesus brings us together across every barrier.
“Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.”
- Colossians 3:14 (NLT)

Give More Than We Take
Generosity is our privilege. We give our time, talent, and treasure because Jesus gave His all for us. We want to be known as people who overflow with open hands and open hearts.
“You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
- Acts 20:35 (NLT)

Change: Healthy Things Grow
If we are following Jesus, we will not stay the same. Growth is a sign of life, and we welcome change as God shapes us into who He’s called us to be.
“Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.”
- Ephesians 4:23–24 (NLT)

Embrace Authenticity
We believe God works powerfully when we’re real with Him and each other. Authenticity builds trust, deepens relationships, and allows God’s grace to meet us in our mess.
“So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.” - Ephesians 4:25 (NLT)

Pray Bold Prayers
We believe in a God who still does miracles. So we pray prayers that stretch our faith, not because we are strong, but because He is able.
“We are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.”
- 1 John 5:14 (NLT)

Next Gen: We Pass It On
We invest in the next generation because the Church doesn’t stop with us. We are called to hand off the faith so that our children and students can know Jesus and lead His mission forward.
“We will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the Lord, about his power and his mighty wonders.” - Psalm 78:4 (NLT)
